I've shoot 60in and 62in recurves all my life. Last year I got a 62in Widow longbow that I shoot better than my curves. I would like to try a longer bow. I am thinking I might order a Border Griffon GL 68in. I draw 29 3/4 in. measured on the back of my Widow. I am not worried about the length for hunting because I will mostly be shooting 3D and targets. Will a longer bow be more stable and forgiving of form errors or does overall design matter more than length?Maby I should try a longer Widow PL but I also like trying something different. Thanks for any advise.

All things being equal a longer bow will draw smoother and be more stable. Also a touch slower than a shorter bow.

Bahh........My 68" Gila hickory selfbow freakin' SMOKES! It will outspeed a lot of recurves out there.

I like a longer bow just for the stability and smoothness of draw. Not only that, but one can find a FAST bow in one of these-----if the design is right.

Carefull, you just might love a longer bow.(especially with your draw) ... I know I do.  :)
