Thanks David for procuring the matching leather.

I already started forging a couple of blades with pictures of all my steps if that is of interest to the bow build-a-long...Jeff

Razorbak Donated the leather and actually offered to make an armguard but I told him Bowchef had made that offer already.

You folks want to make the quiver the thing to sign so RickD can get the knife scrimshawed?

Works for me.  We can sign both if you all want to.

David, I will PM my address.

I have some deerskin to make the bowcase with that matches very close to the color of that fine quiver and brace leather. Or will that matter too much? I can make it different or 2 toned as well. the cognac will look great with the quiver and osage.

AZStickman

Just got back from a weekend in the high country delivering an Auction tag for Coues deer to one of the HOAl kids and spending some quality time in the outdoors with Debi.....Here's what we have so far;

Stave and Floor Tiller, webpage - John Scifres
Final Tiller - Walt Francis
Bow Finish Work - Charles Sinclair (Snakewood3)
String,Silencers,strike plate,rug rest-Chad (LBR)
Bow Sock- Shell
Quiver - David Knipes (Vermonster)
Arrows - Mel (Irish)
Arm Guard - Doug (Bowchef)
Knife and quiver sheath - Jeff (Tippet)

Just wondering if you all could sent Rick your signatures and he could maybe scrimshaw them into one side of the knife handle?? Is that possible Rick? With the short amount of time we have I think the less mailing we have to do the better.... Besides any coins you save on mailing can be used to bid in the auction....   :D

Shell...... I think two toned with one color matching would look fantastic......        :notworthy:

You all are unbelievable.... This is one fantastis auction package....Thank You..... Terry

As for the arrows, here is what I am thinking.  Let me know if they sound OK.  One dozen 23/64 to 5/16 tapered cedars.  Yellow Bohning classic nocks.  Pecan stain with a walnut stain cap.  Hens will be yellow and black barred with a yellow cock feather.  5" Shields. Cresting will be yellow and black.  I will make up as soon as I get the spine.  After we know the lenght, I will cut to lenght and install brass bullet field points.  Sound OK??

I got the bow-to-be heat corrected and got all the pics ready to go.  I'll do a little more floor tillering and it will take me an hour or so tonight to get the website up.  I got surprise tickets to the Pacers v. Pistons game last night.  Took my 11 year old daughter.  Kind of ate into the bowmaking time.  Pacers lost  :(

Here are the specs:  Basic Torges' style bow only a couple inches longer; 67" total length, 1.5" wide for 6" and then tapering to .5" at the tips.  The wood was cut in Illinois a couple years ago.  It should make any weight we want but I'm leaning towards 50-55#.  We'll let Walt make the final choice.
