I've sold off compound and have made a new goal to learn the art of trad.My guestion, is there anyone in N Texas that would let a total stranger pick there brain for info and maybe watch me shoot to give out some tips.(Already brought longbow & arrows and have been shooting last 6 months.)
Thanks Donavon

Well, this ain't Texas, but what else could be?

Have you checked out the members videos? there are a lot of them there, and you can scrutinize how other folks do it. There are also videos of folks like Howard Hill and Ron LaClaire that will let you see how varied even "the masters'" form was/is.

If you have access to a camera with video capability, film yourself and post it on the Shooters forum. You will get all kinds of opinions, some of them useful  :D  , some of them funny,   :smileystooges:   and none of them hurty.  :knothead:

Meanwhile, TTT for the REAL Texanese.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Scroll on down to the Texas Boys post on pow wow. Maybe you can find someone who lives close to you to help out. If not, what Killie said.
