Ok fellows here is my predicament.  I bought this old Predator off an auction site. It needed refinishing and a little limb work.  That done and its a great shooter.  The problem,  I HATE the brass nots on the side.  The old style were inset si I have filled them over.
I am thinking it would be nice to have some scrimshaw or something done to mount or inbed in the areas to look more appealing.
Anyone here do that or something with antler?

Suggestions?

Steve; you could add a small 11/16 ths Compass to fill one of the insert holes. Just use a forstner bit and silicone the compass in, for easy removal if it should ever break. They are available thru 3 Rivers Archery supply.

I've also seen that done with old coins...that looks cool too.

My favorite is the little silver inlays of critters, Howard Hill archery does this on their bows and they are gorgeous. Don't think it's a do-it-yourself project but you may be more talented than me.
