Guy at the local bowshop gave me a half dozen Carbon Tech Whitetails 35/55's to try out since he's pulling his line of Gold Tips.

Supposed to be seriously straight, and just an overall really good arrow.

The Gold Tip Traditionals at at full length that same spine shoot really swell out of both my longbows, a 41# and a 50# with a 125gr head.   Suppose they'll give me good performance as well?

I'd never messed with Carbon Techs before, and was just curious as to what yalls thoughts were about them before I threw some feathers on them.

Carbon Tech makes excellent arrows. Rick McKinney, who has medals in Olympic,World, and National Championships, heads up Carbon Tech. His arrows are made in USA. They are a small company compared to some of the other companies out there, but they make an excellent arrow.

Good place to start.I have never shot them but they look to be a good shaft.

Hope this helps.

Elk Chaser

I have used the Carbon Tech Rhinos for the last 2 years and there indestructible, not cheap but good, there is really no differance between the yello label .0015 tollerance and the White label .003 tollerance or something like that . I have not damaged one arrow in 2 years there like ahooting a tank. just picked up some of the Safari's there a real heavy arrow that I will try for hunting with the heavier limbs on my DAS.
All in all there are the only arrows I would buy given the choice for trad bows. there about 490 gr that I am shooting 30" long trying the Safari's to get to 600 gr for Elk
I thought about Grizzly stix but no reason to try them these work great.

After reading this thread the other day it got me to thinking.  I used to use a CT Whitetail 45/60 out of my compound several years back and loved em. So I found one, stripped the vanes off, fletched it with feathers and tried a 3rivers 100 grain brass insert, which fit.  Put on a 155 grain tip and it weighed 564 grains.  Shot it out of a 50# hybrid and it flew good.  Now I just need to get some more.
