I was wondering if the folks out in the Grand Junction area could give me an idea on hunting and shoots in the area. Someone to hook up with possibly , I have a pretty good job offer in the area and I'm trying to weigh every thing out including my archery addiction. Thanks roger

I have a cousin that lives near Cedaredge which is close by. They bowhunt(compound) elk, mulies and lots of turkeys. His land backs up to some national forest. Montrose which is down the road a bit has some really good elk. They want me to come up sometime but I always seem too busy to go that far during season. Hopefully someday....

Ya the High country shoot is great!!  There is a trad club that shoots at a range just outside of town and they hold several shoots throughout the year.  Hunting is good as bodork said, great elk population, but a ggreat hunter population too.lol  mule deer are definatly coming back and am seeing alot more nice bucks.

Hey guys thanks a lot, that means a lot, my wife probably won't see it that way but, my job is what I do not who I'm. I'm exicted about it all but scared too, been in one place way to long and  its gonna be a real challenge. Thats where this is a bit of a comfort for me if that makes any sense.I guess I need to have a talk with the man in charge of all things!! Thanks again. roger
