im making some tapered arrows for my 45 lb recurve what spined arrows should i use to taper because i know i will lose some spine when i taper them thanks

shaft slinger

you only lose 2/3 pound, so i wouldn't worry use the same ones that work for you now, IMO

Bill Carlsen

When I made custom arrows I spcialized in tapered shafts and did them myself. I never lost more than 2# on any shaft and more typically it was closer to 1#...that was with a 10" taper.  If you barrel taper them then you may lose in the vivinity of 5# or more so in that case you need to be working with arrows that are one spine stiffer than you typically shoot.
The best things in life....aren't things!

what is the benefit of a barrel taper thanks for the ansers on my other questions guys

The biggest advantage is cutting down on physical arrow weight. This can really help when shooting a light bow.
