I was wondering what the noise difference is between Nanners & High Back Sheilds.
Sawdust, Wood Chips, and Shavings are as close to Potpourri as I get!!!!!!

It has a little to do with how much helix, but as a rule nanners are way loud. High back shields are only loud when edges are damaged or with a great deal of helix. Even then its just a little wind noise whereas the nanners sound like a low flying jet.

I use nanners all the time. Never had an animal spook because of them. In fact, on a miss on a deer they pay less attention to the arrow with nanners than one with standard parabolics. Just my experience. Been shooting nanners for about 15 years.
