Here I sit waiting for my new bow. I ordered a new bow from my new friend Jeremiah Retherford of Gila bow co. and Acme bow co., and the waiting is just KILLING me! This will be an all-Hickory mild reflex/deflex longbow with some rattlesnake backing(54 lbs.@28"), and I have a dozen matched arrows coming as well(Port Orford cedars--6 field points, and 6 equipt with Zwickey Eskimo's). Since losing my training wheels I have been shooting a 50# Browning "Wasp" of which I love---however, I had the opportunity to shoot a Martin "Vision" reflex/deflex longbow and fell in love with it. Since then I have decided I needed to be a longbow shooter----and to make matters even worse, I wanted a selfbow. In my mind I am wanting my archery experience to be as primitive and "pure" as at all possible. Glad to be aboard.

To anyone who is looking for a new bow, I would highly recommend Jeremiah---he is an outstanding guy, and he is very detail oriented(couple those aspects with the fact that he's a hardcore hunter, and you have a hell of a guy), and his work is one of a kind, to say the least. Have a look at his site.  www.AcmeBowCo.com  I swear You guys will get a bang out of him and his special talents.

Waiting.............5 weeks to the Spring Black bear hunt....
