After reading all the broad head choices in the thread Terry started, what would be your survival knife of choice for all chores that it might be needed for?

A lot of really good knives out there. Looking forward to seeing yours. Mine would be a Randall 14 carbon steel blade. Comes with a stone too. Or a Gerber with a fire stick for sure.

ESSE 6 or the custom I got from Paintman (Terry Knause).  Both will take a beating with a smile.  Custom below is from a saw mill blade, with Ironwood Burl scales.

A Swiss Army Mechanic would be my choice.
Pliers, screwdrivers, leather punch and a couple decent blades.

Blake, me too!!!  But if I could only take one, it would be either of these two.  Everything from skinning, slicing onions, and cutting firewood.

The two survival knives I carried the eight years I served in the U.S. Army where my U.S. Army M7S survival knife (left) made by Imperial, and my U.S. Airforce Survival knife (right) made by Ontario. They served me well so they would be my two choices.

Found my photos. The one in the middle. 6.5" blade by 1/4" thick. Holds an edge very nicely and can chop saplings for shelter etc. and fillet a fish if need be.
Sold my Randall a few years back like a dummy.

The bottom right if I had to pick one but otherwise all of them and at least one of the hawks...

This is my go to hunting rig and if I was ever to get in a survival situation, that would be the time.

The kukri is a great choice. The USMC ka-bar would be great as well.

Scott's knives are all business & indestructible

Like many of you a blade nut as well.  But, when I reflect back I can honestly break it down into 3, which are with me in woods all the time.
Leatherman Wave
Swiss Army Hunter- I have used this on so many animals without fail, and helped set up shelter few times.
Esse Izula 2- This knife is on me all the time, and this small fixed blade knife has never let me down, even batoned with it few times no issue, game, fish, camp cann't go wrong.

If I had one knife for the end of the world, this would be it.  Not for hiking around, but one that does close to everything the ESSE 6 answers that call.
