It's been over a year since I've fired up my forge. So Yesterday I tried my hammer skills on a 3 inch scrap piece from an old file. Ended up hammering out a 5 inch small kiridachi knife. It felt good to pound hot metal again...tippit

Glad you are back at doing something you enjoy after a year layoff. That has to feel great!

That is a cool little blade and more useful than most would think!

Over the years I have owned about every design out there for skinning/cleaning but that design you have in your hand is my go to design for sure . I actually clean most of my hogs and deer these days with the blade on a Gerber Diesel multi tool. The Diesel has that exact same profile and I love it. If you ever wanted to let one like that go maybe in a little flat sheath I would be your guy. Glad you are back at it buddy!

strick9,
Something like a flat Kydex sheath. That is safe in the pocket or on a pop bead neck lanyard? I really like orange Kydex as it is easy to find when you lay the sheath down in the woods. Don't ask me how I came to this realization  :knothead:

That knife would be good for leather work.
