I wish everyone could realize, there is no good answer to "What is the best_____?"  It's all about what you like the best and what works the best for you. Really, the question is "What_____ do you like best and why?" and then you can decide what to try. Sometimes, you just have to find your own "best".

I think the only answer should be " I use xyz and I like it because...." What works for one may be crap for another.

Excellent post James!

I share the same sentiment. I really appreciate the opinions of others when it comes to gear, methods, etc and what works for them and why. I have learned a lot over the years by listening and then trying for myself. Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't.

I value honest opinions from others. Conversely, I loath the "My way is the only right way" attitude. I've learned to tune that noise out.

Reading on 3 different forums, I constantly see "What is the best____?". As if someone will say "XYZ is the best" and the OP can just run right out and buy XYZ and he will be all set. No testing involved, no effort involved, and no experience either.

I have found that I can really increase my FOC (fat out center) with Peanut Buster Parfaits.  Especially if I have 'em made with chocolate ice cream and peanut butter sauce...

But speaking purely traditionally and instinctively, black licorice ice cream is definitely superior to all others.
