Heading back in May for 6 weeks of self guided, walk and stalk hunting.
Absolutely unique place, extremely remote. Incredibly high animal densities.
Going with my daughter and her boyfriend, all 3 committed bow hunters.

It's going to be great to roam  at will and hunt with no pressure

6 weeks! Wow, that will be a real treat! My wife and I are headed to Namibia in May as well.  We usually rifle hunt, but I will be taking my long bow this trip. I know there will be plenty of excitement!

Bisch

That sounds like a very cool place!!!!! And 6 weeks would be awesome. I'm going back in August for 2 weeks and can't wait!!!

Best thing is we don't have a "list". We are just going to stroll around and see what opportunities present themselves.

I would like a Nyala, maybe a bushbuck if I got really lucky, a wildebeest would be cool, black is my favourite. But a blue would be great too.
With over 2000 impala on the place, there will be lots of  shot opportunities.
But we are not specifically chasing the ever abundant impala and hogs.
Usually they are taken just for camp rations.

6 weeks would definitely make that plane ride worth it.  Hope y'all have a blast.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Be careful on those walkabouts,  the desert almost got me there. Have a blast! The animals there are fun for sure.

Have a safe and fun hunt!

Please share some pics and recaps with us on your return.

For sure, as this will be more of a hunt that people are familiar with here in N America, ie we won't be using structured blinds at waterholes, it should afford us a lot of great photo ops.
I plan to do a decent write up of the trip .👍

Wow, sounds like a Hunt we will ALL be waiting for.  Do share as many pics as you can as many of us dream about this.  :coffee: :campfire: :coffee:

Please, please tell us your story when you get back.  Or even send some of it along the way.
I can't imagine 6 weeks of being there just to hunt. I will be interested to hear how you kept your concentration and energy up.  I would personally suggest that you take a break from hunting every 7-10 days and go sight seeing, fishing, or even shopping for local crafts. Been there 5x
What shooting equipment are you using. Game concentration is great, but they are prey species and it is THEIR terraine.  You will have a challenge but it will be a blast.
Just WOW!  Take enough arrows, broadheads, and sharpening tools.... and credit line.  Get a good small camera with serious telescopic capacity, and consider a lightweight (or small) easy to carry and easy to use set of binoculars with a wide field of view.

Best of luck

Fantastic hunting and fishing. None better :campfire:
He's not doing that many hunts anymore, they have been moving more and more away from the hunting side of things over the last few years.
They are focusing on the other adventure activities more and more.
Fantastic place, even better people!
Mark was best man at my wedding 22 years ago.
I have whiled away so many years, days hours in those hills and on that river.
It truly is a second home for me!
