We should shoot one of the courses together
Would be nice to shoot with another Canadian

I'm going to ETAR for the first time this year. Just under 7 hour drive from where I am in Ontario

Zombie Slayer

Must be northern Ontario.
Well it's hard to describe the amount of fun you will have. For traditional archers it's like Christmas all weekend.

Pretty cool all the Canadian guys making trip down. Have a safe trip boys

Are there any Lefties shooting at ETAR??

JamieR

Zombie slayer - i wouldn't call our part of the province northern Ontario. We are driving from Lindsay which is 1hr north east of Toronto.

I'm a right handed shooter but I have a left handed riser for my predator limbs

Zombie Slayer

I'm coming from Hamilton area, last time it took me about 3 1/2 hours driving
We Canadians should meet up and shoot a course together  :archer2:

Agree with you Big Jim, it could be habit forming. As a vendor also, I found that I had little time or energy to shoot the course.  The Eagle Eye event was the only thing that I participated in. It's a great event for a great cause. I won it on the first try,  but couldn't do it again. It's one of those things where you have to be on top of your game, and a little bit lucky..., and a prayer doesn't hurt either. I prayed that I not miss the whole target and embarrass myself. Lo and behold, I hit the bullseye. God is good.

For anyone who hasn't gone, don't wait. Events like this don't last forever. It is a Mecca for traditional enthusiast with thousands of people with similar interest, and hundreds of dealers with lots of merchandise. There are special programs and seminaries, and the blanket sale is fantastic. The first year i bought 5 bows in about a half hour at this event, including a Shrew.

Sadly, Eagle's Flight Archery won't be there this year. We will miss it terribly, but age and health tend to interfere with our plans. For anyone who is trying to decide, go for it. You won't be sorry.  :knothead: :archer2: :knothead:

I had a great time at ETAR. Definitely going back next year

I didn't make ETAR this year or the last several.  I'm retired now and would have gone this year if not for the fact that I was fly-fishing in Colorado that week.  For those of you who have gone for quite a few years, I was typically in the PGC trailer for at least part of the rendezvous as I'm the retired game warden in northern Potter County.

It seems like traditional archery is popular with Pa. game wardens.  I shoot with three retired/former Pa. wardens at the Sawmill shoot.
