Broadheads for Small diameter arrows

Yesterday a friend gave me a small diameter arrow shaft to try (5mm). Shot good, like the feel, looks, and the idea of a little closer to center. But with my big Ace broadheads that I normally use, plus my screw in/glue on adapter, I'm scratching my head. Anyone use these new arrows? If so do you use different broadheads or same?
I fletched it last night and test drove it today. It flew good, and hit good, even at  30 yards. So I decided to try a broadhead, still excellent flight, even with my 2 1/2" feathers.
Opinions?

Easton makes an insert called a "half out" for their small diameter arrows. It tapers from 5 mm to 5/16". It may work for you.

I shoot 5MM FMJ's I use the same German Kinetic, Magnus, and Carbon Express broadheads I used with 5/16 shafts. It makes no difference, and they work just fine.

I also have some Widowmaker shafts that are .166 ID (the 5MM are .204 ID). I shoot those same broadheads mentioned above on those shafts too, and it works just fine.

I say go hunt and kill a big one!!!!!

Agree with Bisch. I treat small diameter shafts just like "normal" sized shafts on broached selection. No problems.

It might give you trouble pulling out of a target, but it won't matter on the way in. Like others said you could use a tapered half-out or a footer to get to 5/16" OD at the back of the broadhead. I shoot small diameter black eagle renegades in my compound and the half-out tapers to 5/16". No issues with my big single bevel grizzles.

I've had no issues pulling broadheads out of suitable foam broadhead targets. Get 9/32" field points if you can find them in the correct weight (idk of any heavier than 145gr, but there may be some out there), especially if you use bag targets for practice.

Okay, thanks guys, I'll carry on. Shot the broadhead in my target from 30 yards, flew great, hit great, and wasn't bad as I thought it would be pulling the arrow. I don't think the deer will mind either. Got a doe already, hoping to get s shot on a buck soon.

I use Easton FMJ with 250-300 grs broadheads I don't see any problem with flight and penetration they are supposed to have more because less friction. The only issue could be to extract the arrow from targets.
