What angle does everyone set their kme broadhead sharpener at?

Mine is an original w no adjustments.  If you have adjustable you can focus on just the edge rather than the entire bevel.

I put my roller all the way to the top but with some broadheads it's still not enough as you can't get to the edge.

Id give Ron at kme a call.  Larry, have you tried moving the broadhead further out in the jaws?

Bisch

Mine is at 19* because that is what my German Kinetic heads have for a factory bevel. I would find out what angle the broadheads I was shooting were at and set the sharpener accordingly.

I was told the degrees on the KME are not that important, use a marker and color the edge of the broadhead  and see if the stone takes the marker off, experiment until you find the correct setting for whatever head you are trying to sharpen. That's what I do.

I just reread your question. Think I may have misread it before. My KME is the knife sharpener (but I use it for sharpening my broadheads), not the broadhead sharpener.

I use a work sharp precision knife sharpener thats made like the one Bisch is talking about and just match the original grind as best as I can.Like already stated above,Just use a sharpie to mark bevel and set sharpener up to clean marker off,I would think you could do same with the kme broadhead sharpener. If your running out of adjustment then I dont know what to say...If you need to go taller with it I think I heard someone say they wrapped the roller with tape but IDK if that worked are not...

I played with the KME today and I increased the angle by moving the little plastic roller up on the inside of the metal bracket while still being able to use the metal rod thru the roller. If you move the roller too high the metal rod won't be free moving. Maybe there is a better way to accomplish this but I don't know how.
