Travis, I think that table is the prettiest thing seen on this whole thread.

Thanks for the compliment Lonnie.  I got a great looking bow from Travis.  I think all the bows were topnotch this year.

Dan, a friend built that for me. It is super nice. It's a 4 inch thick ash crotch slab. He makes some super nice live edge tables. He's a turner as well, he makes some nice bowls.

I set Walt's bow up this evening and put a few arrows thru her. I usually don't shoot longbows because I don't shoot them well. This bow has changed my mind. The grip is different than I'm use to but it works great. I like it.

Sorry for the delay, the wife thinks me spending the day with her was more important than anything related to bowhunting or bow building.  I do not agree, but it is near midnight so you can see who won that argument.

First, a big thank you to David Chetcuti (Woodcarver2) for the exceptional bow.  You Done Good...Really Good!  In addition to the bow Dave made and sent some custom calls, one for deer and the other for predators.  I really like the sound of the deer call; it will get a lot of use this November.

Anyway, I did manage to put several dozen arrows thru my newly received bow.  The bow is dead quiet, with no hand shock, and sends my 630 grain arrows into the target with authority.  It took me few arrows to get the brace height dialed in, then the arrow groups tightened up.  This is a good shooting bow.

The fit and finish is outstanding, I will let the pictures speak to that.  It is late, here are a few pictures to tide it over until tomorrow evening.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I'm glad that you like the bow Walt. It was a tough one to get tillered right, but I like how it shoots.
I had enough of that canary wood left over to make one more riser for a bow for myself.
Happy shooting.
Dave.
