I didn't get a lot of time in on it. But I got a start on a black locust sapling. I got a back ring chased on the last ring of sapwood and the profile drawn out. But then I ran out of time to get much further. There's a few knots, but a little thin CA should be enough to hold those in place well. I'm going for a longish narrow bendy handle with this one. Well see how it turns out, if I'm not happy with it, there's plenty more staves where this one came from.

I'm struggling so far. I'm trying to come up with the best idea possible and commit. My options are limited to Osage, which I know my victim will be ok with, but I really want to make something special.
Probably just a little - outta practice jitters.
The cool thing about the swap is how it makes you care more than normal about the finished product
