Insert Shortage?

What has caused the .246 GT brass inserts shortage? No one seems to have them in 50 or 100gr. Checking inventory at my go-to trad shops turns up zilch. I have 6 arrows I want to complete and have had the shafts for months now. I hate to try to tear some out of other arrows I have. That would likely cause the shaft to be damaged.

Scratching my head. I may have to settle for the steel 50gr but would like to use the brass and the true .246. Several places have the .245s. Not looking for those.

Surely this is not Covid related. At least I hope not. Please. No politics. Just direct me to a place that might have them.

Not in any way trying to be political...!!  :coffee:  :campfire: :coffee:

It just seems to be, at this time, that seemingly normal, everyday things, are scarce...?? :dunno:
Seems like no rhyme or reason to it? Leaving everyone scratching their heads....
Possibly? could be the backlog created by all of the shutdowns. I know I waited 5 months for my Bear T/D limbs that were on backorder from 3Rivers.

Honestly have no idea, brother? Hope things work out and you can find them!!
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

A word of caution...
If you do find them DO NOT ship USPS!
Since the Postmaster General ordered the removal of automated sorters, package service has just about ground to a halt.  My last order from LAS sat in the local hub, 15 miles away, for 8 days before being sent to the local PO for delivery.
I currently have a package sitting in the sender's hub for 12 days now.

The ones we make are in stock if that helps: https://www.3riversarchery.com/brass-arrow-point-inserts.html

They are not tapped for accepting weights, but we have the 50 grain and 100 grain in stock.

I just ordered some stuff from 3R.  Insert weights were part of what I wanted but . . .
Of course some Carbon Express Piledriver broadheads and 3" feathers would be too.
Just sayin. :goldtooth:
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Are they .246 diameter? I want the snug fit. Not after anything less than .246.

Thanks.
