Boeuf Hunt 1

Will and I left his house at 0130 hours hopped in the truck and headed to Boeuf. We had a great time and over 4 hunts (day and a half) we each saw six deer, which brings this years total to 10 deer sighted in 5 days of hunting for me (more than the last two years combined). We are definitely getting better and will had his first deer walk within 10 yards and was busted by the mature doe of the group before he could come to full draw. The weather was unseasonably cooler than the last few years. We have not had to hunt in muggy weather at all this bow season. What a blessing. Hopefully we will be headed back within a month for another few days, until then it's studying the maps and planning. This is definitely the year. Here are some pics. Thanks Kirk. I'm sure of it. Until then I just keep harvesting limb rats.
