opening day of ct turkey was weds morning. Sunday my hunting partner and i went and set up the ground blind on private proprety we hunt on. Its not big but we manage two take a few deer off of it every year. we also see fox, raccoon, and bobcats. Driving up to the parking area i saw a tom cross the road. peter was already there and had watched him in the field along with 4 deer. Reaching the woodlot we found droppings  and scratchings, and decieded on a spot for the blind. Opening morning found us in the ground blind with four decoys out in front of the blind. A jake feeding hen, a breeding hen, and a funkie chicken. Sunrise came with no gobbeling heard. Peter and i called on and off with no answers.  Suddenley Peter said there's  a tom on the hill in front of us 90 yards away.                                                        I could'nt see him because of the tree blocking my view. For 15 to 20 mins. Peter gave me blow by blow of the turkeys movements, inbetween calling back and fourth with the tom, until i heard he's coming.  He's 80, then 60, hes coming faster, Peter i can't see him , don;t worry you will wait till he gets to the decoys to shoot.  he's 40 yards he's 30, i start raising my bow, put your bow down you'll spoke him. He's 25, at 20 yards he steps out from behind the tree blocking my view in full strut wings dragging on the ground. Don't move from Peter, wait till hes in the decoys, the farthest decoy is less than 8 yards from the blind!  He bumbs the jake i shot, the arrow goes right thur him, he jumps, Peter is saying good shot i'm saying good shot the turkey circules the decoy,  Peter is saying shot him again, I'm getting an arrow out of the quiver. Peter is saying shot him again, I shot the turkey flips over flopps around and dies. We look at each other and can't belive what just happened! Upon cleaning the bird the first shot even thought it looked good was to far foward and went thur the breast high an the body. the second shot broke the upper leg went thur the bird and broke the off side wing. The killing shot. A few things learned. Keep shotting, take your arrows out of the quiver for faster shoting. Aim high but not to far foward, study everthing Curt puts out on his turkey hunts and learn where to shoot. It sure was fun. Sounds like a blast.  Congratulations on a great kil!
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Good shooting the wings out and dragging make a deceptive target.

Very nice!

I have a few Buffalo bows myself. The limb tips look built up. Is that something new he's doing?
