Quivers

Greetings all.

It's been a long time but easing back into shooting.

I need a quiver of sorts and was wondering what you all used/recommended.  Both of my recurve are drilled for kwikee quiver.

Would hip or back quiver be best instead of bow mounted.  I plan on moving a good bit as in stalking.

Selway makes a great quiver that will mount on your bow, you can use the side mount holes or get a slide on, the slide on help dampen the bow noise, not sure about the side mount

I agree on the Selway. I love mine. I've got a bow that takes a Kwikee quiver, but I don't hunt with it on since it rattles like crazy when I shoot. As soon as I get to wherever I'm going I take it off.

I really like the GFA quiver that G Fred Asbell has.
Very versatile and I have used mine for about 8 years with no issues.

I use 3, 4, and 6 arrow Kwikee kwivers.
Vintage Bear single spring arm quivers.
Great Northern strap-on quiver.
Selway side mount quiver.
A Bear Hug quiver that I made into a belt quiver.
And I have another belt quiver but don't know the manufacture.

GFA quiver is great but no longer made, unfortunately. Check out the Powderhorn by Cedar Ridge....similar design/ functionality.

I prefer a bow quiver for hunting.

IMO, you can't beat a bow mounted quiver if you are stalking. Hip and back quivers just get in the way, and get hung up on stuff. Best bow mounted quiver I have found is the Great Northern. I use the Quick Detach model in my 3pc bows, and the strap on model on my one-pc bows.

EFA quivers are hard to beat. Workmanship and price are next to none. The strap on system can't be beat. And they're good folks to do business with.

If your bows are drilled for Quickie Quivers, why not use Quickie Quivers?  There's nothing wrong with them.  Solid, quiet, give good arrow separation, easy to remove, etc.

The Shrew Scout is a good choice for those that want an unencumbered bow. 5 arrows is the perfect number IMO, 4 broadheads and a judo or blunt. Tucked under the arm for quick access to an arrow.

take a look at marksman quivers. top quality! the system is modular meaning the hood and gripper can be used on their bow quiver mounts or side quiver with full compatibility. you can purchase a hood and gripper of the size you want then mix and match between bow and side quiver.

I love the Great northern bow mounted quivers. I have them on both of my ILF hunting bows. Very lightweight and no noise. I've used the GN side quiver and its a great one as well.

Safari Tuff if you don't like bow mount quivers.

Another Safari Tuff fan here. Love how it protects/hides the fletching. Never cared for bow mounted quivers, but to each his own.

I run hip quivers.  I use Neet hip quivers. But I hang the strap around my neck an it's very easy to slip it behind my back in cover and brush (like bee brush) to allow easy and quiet moving.
