Tip overlays on curvy hybrid Limbs

I'm building my first hybrid and am curious what the best way to add my tip overlays would be. There is quite a bit more curve in these limbs than the shallow R/D bows I've been making lately. I have always used EA-40 to laminate a piece of thin phenolic underneath a thin strip of wood for my tips. On this bow, despite being only 1/8" thick, the wood is too stiff to bend to the shape of the limb. Do y'all just sand them to match the curve? That's the only way I can think of, and it sounds painstaking to get the shape just right.

How do you guys do it?

I use .060 pieces. either make a little form the same curve of your tip or use the tip pre glue the pieces clamped in place on the form or tip. plastic warp so the dont stick. then pre shape the fades and glue them on.

I personally wouldn't dare try to sand to shape.
I'd just go real thin with multi layers if needed.

Rough in withe a power sander then make one of these to finish off...  Works good for me...

Here are the tips on a bow I just finished...  I sanded the radius on the blocks...  Trick is to take it off the tip side not the ramp side...

Shredd, are you using that sanding jig to get the overlays thinned out?
