What to do with venison suet?

Cutting up a deer this week, I was wondering if the suet would be good to put in a suet feeder for the birds.
Well after a day, the woodpeckers finally started getting after it.
I think I'll definitely start keeping the suet for the birds.

All insectivore birds love suet. They'll peck apart hunks frozen solid to get the carbs.
