Has anyone used nose jammer field spray? I bought can after reading reviews but smells like air freshener to me? Thoughts?

Thanks Andy

Hunt the wind.
Most everything I've read says you can't beat their nose.

I just was my clothes in baking soda and shower with scent free stuff, to minimize my scent, then play the breeze.

Remember "Vanilla Killa" from the Fitzgeralds?  It smells almost the same to me.

Watched a YouTube video the other day on a guy testing it for himself. Does seemed to REALY like it. Once they hit his scent trail, they followed it right to his tree and kept searching the base of the tree for the source. He didn't think mature buck would be fooled by it, but if it draws does...does might draw bucks (IMHO).

The number one ingredient in nose hammer is vanilla.
Leave as little human "footprint " as you can ( human scent, entrance and exit strategy, ect)  and Hunt the wind.

My little brother swears by it. I gave him a can I won at a shoot. I think I created a monster

My Dad was a smoker.  He always like to climb cherry trees so that he could hold a lit cigarette in the bark when a deer came close enough for a shot.

I tried it once, the only thing it did was attract a momma bear and three cubs to my stand area and they wouldn't leave!!

I totally believe in hunting the wind, but where I hunt deer, I've only found one tree that will accept my climbing stand, mostly big mature cottonwoods. That tree is pretty good normally for the prevailing winds of the area assuming the deer follow the plan! So I use scents, bought some nose jammer but haven't tried it yet! I'll let you know what I think if I remember!

I have had deer show interest in several attractant scents, including vanilla. However, I have never tried this particular product. Even when I use scents I still primarily hunt the wind, because, if they smell the attractants, they can smell the hunter.

yes. passed up my 12th buck, a 3.5 year old.  walked 360 degrees around my stand for 20 minutes. same results for the other 11 bucks and 37 bald deer...under 16 yds for 10 to 20 minutes walking curiously around in my bow range.  I shot a 4.5 yr old doe this way in September. I spray it on my descented boots that sit in a box of leaves between hunts. I still reduce my scent with descented hunting cloths put in action packer, descented driving cloths, strip down and change to hunt, shower before every hunt, brush teeth with baking soda, wipe down steering wheel, cell phone, bow,arrows....  I still tip toe into and out of stand.  I still hunt the wind.  It was a suggestion from a friend and I was amazed at the shot opportunities at close range for up to 20 minutes.  Those are my results

I put it on my blind and when the deer got downwind from me they took off , I must really stink.

gordydog

Interesting if/when a deer gets downwind of you and they hang around and don't leave when I have Nose Jammer on.

Sam McMichael

I saw it in the store today, so I bought a can and used it this afternoon. I did not see any deer, so I don't have any feedback other than it smells good. It seems that there is a hint of vanilla and coconut along with a trace of some thing else I can't quite place. Maybe nutmeg. It smelled like a bake shop, not a hunting location.

Maybe it will work, maybe not, but I may keep using it just for the fragrance. I used it in conjunction with a doe scent. Has anybody else done this? If so, what were your results?
Sam

SOLDIERII

I've  used it and it spooked the deer. They never pegged me but still counter productive. I used it three times with the same results.
