Howdy all.
I'm just wondering who all on here uses a clicker when hunting?  Any issues with deer ducking the string?  If you find it has helped you, how did it help?  Any set-up tricks?
Thanks a bunch for any help.

There's plenty of information on this in the search function, but to summarize, 1. lots of folks hunt with a clicker. 2. Never heard of deer ducking a clicker. 3. tape wrapped around the blade will quiet a clicker.

I use one never a problem with deer hearing it.  I've even clicked it several times on bear and deer, no reaction.

You can mute it with tape.

Also, if you want something quiet, rig a string and no clicker to your bow limb. Optimize the string length so you reach anchor at same point that the string goes taut. Then you can draw back just to the point where you feel the string go taut/reach anchor and release.

There plenty of information about everything archery related in the search engines... If this were the case, then any question on a forum should be replied to with the answers above. Archery should be inclusive, even with simple questions. I shot a really nice pronghorn buck and a mule deer buck this fall. Neither heard or were bothered by the clicker. Mule deer bucks at 15 yards are prime candidates to be bothered by the click, not the case for either animal or ones in past years when I use a clicker. I don't tape or bother with mine, I just put them on and go don't sweat it.

I don't personally use one as it never worked for me. BUT I have a good friend who is an absolute assain with one. If it works for you by all means go with it.
Most people get rich by making more money than they have needs, me, I just reduced my needs!

I'm seriously thinking to try one.  I feel like I might be collapsing a bit on the shot.  I know I don't want to do that and from what I understand this can help.

I NEVER get to full draw on an animal without one. Lol
I wrap mine in tape and you can't hear it. I can feel it click in the handle. No more deer fever short draws for me!!  :biglaugh:

Im trying one this year for the first time. Its still a work in progress. But I think my shooting has improved. It definitely should help on a 3d course. I was getting sick of not coming to full draw.
