I went to the Sterling Harrell 3D shoot last year. I only had one day to shoot so I only brought my Palmer Longbow with carbon and wood arrows. Mr Tommy Robinson was there putting on a Selfbow clinic for those who wanted to build their own bow. He had several of his Selfbows there and asked if I wanted to shoot a round with one. Well of course I would! He grabbed some wood arrows and handed me a bow to see how it shot. After trying a couple bows and different spines arrows I was ready. Longer story short I outshot my score with my Palmer!  :scared:
I asked him afterwards if that bow was for sale. He said another guy had dibs on it but if he didn't come buy it it was mine. A few months went by and I called to see if he still had the bow. He did and I was able to make a deal  :bigsmyl:
Finally I was able to tune up some arrows and I happened to have some Zewickey 125gr 2-Blade heads in my bow shop that flew great out the bow.
I shot this boar on my first hunt with the bow.

Awesome man! Dang good looking bow and a whole lot of pork. A lot of folks probably think this is dumb, but that's a really good looking hog. Most of the few I've shot have been black.

Congratulations on a fine critter.

You done good.....really good!
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.
