We lost a good one this week Jim L. aka "2-Big".  If you get a chance, shoot an arrow for him, enjoy a sunrise/sunset, post pics of the animals you saw in the field, and more than anything lend a hand to someone...something Jim did to anyone and everyone!

Jim inspired me to get back to my traditional roots years ago. He helped me and many others get into trad archery. Without even knowing anything about me (or having met me in person) years ago he bought me arrows to try, old magazines, offered his bows to shoot and guidance. He introduced to the various archery groups and shoots in Mi, and always checked on me to see how things were going.  I know he did this and more to others!  He was a big guy with a big heart and enough passion for the outdoors for everyone.

If you get a chance browse the Michigan Traditional Bowhunters section and scroll through some of his old posts - the "Deer Diary" series a lot of people always enjoyed and looked forward to every year.

Till the next campfire big guy... here's to the smell of fall, the sunrise painting the woods, hearing your heart pound when a deer is in range, that feeling of tension on your bowstring, and watching an arrow fly.
