In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Walt makes a nice bow and this is a good example.

Great job Walt. Wish it was 10 to 15 pounds lighter. Your tips are fabulous. Jeff Massie would be proud. :clapper:

That is a looker. Little heavy but such a beautiful bow. I know that name but can't see a face to go with it. Both my wife and I remember a Walt Francis from the archery club in CA. That was back in the 90's. Now that's going to be on my mind for a while.

Walt has been posting here since we started....back on 2003.

He's helped with the St. Jude Auction here for years.

Terry, maybe that's the connection. I did know a couple of gentlemen who made self bows in our club. They would travel over CA. looking for materials like mountain Juniper.

Someone is gonna get a great selfbow. I'm really lucky to have two yew bows that Walt crafted.  They are my favorite bows and I hope to someday to craft a bow as smooth as these are.
