The Plans and vid came today, Ok so i almost fell asleep while the vid was playing, but did pick up a few tips,
and wonder why you'd cut 1/4 inch off the end of your glued up Limbs, (my teachers always got mad when I asked too many questions)

Talked to Kenny--A Very kind, patient guy, as im a newbie and was totally confused over the phone,
But we decided on His Spalted Hackberry with Maple limbs and another darker/light brown? for the wedge,
Dang if I can remember as my wife walked in just as we hung up and I helped to lug groceries, then I done forgot
just like a Goldfish,,every 10 seconds I start over  :biglaugh:
Ill be buying all my stuff from him, glue, ect, ect,

The Riser is going to be I-beam with curly Maple and the Black Palm
as im going to use the rubber band method Im assuming I can just cut the shape of the limbs off the plans,
please let me know if im wrong,
someone said they'd give me suggestions,
gonna cut them and make a template for my router,,,,I need to find it,
I know where my bandsaw is as im always running into it
need to buy more blades for it,

ill post more as I build, dont hold yr breath It will be awhile

You only have so long a string,
Try not to Burn it from Both Ends

Flem

Which style are you going to make, the straight ended or reflexed limbs?

I'm just guessing but when gluing up lams I have never got one with exactly flush lams ends ,I always make the limbs longer then needed & flush cut the ends , things get very slippery with epoxys !
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!
