Hoping maybe we can keep all the hunts in one spot this year.

Would love to have stories and  pics from all your hunts in one spot for folks to look at .

The first group of hunters started this morning with some lightning early and just a slight rain shower.

They are from TX and this is their 4th trip here I believe.

Temps are gonna be pretty warm for the first few days, but they ARE from TX so they are after it tonite.

GOOD LUCK GUYS!!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

It's been 10-15 degrees above normal. They are seeing some deer , turkeys , and various varmints. They put some cams out and have some buck pics but I haven't seen them yet.

I need to tell them I put this thread up too ! LOL

Oh and Barry saw a big buck coming out one evening. :)

OK, first hunt this year in the books.  Miserably hot and humid, the guys saw some deer and I think mmmmissed a turkey.  That is real easy to do when you got a couple dozen eyes tryin to pick ya off.

Next hunt is starting on the 28th...

Just returned from Kenny's lease, Aldo and I had a great time, it's always nice to see Kenny and sit and talk. The weather this year didn't cooperate, temps were around 85/90 , rain and humid. We had opportunities at small bucks and does, that we passed on, the last day of the hunt, the temps dropped to 45 degrees, that morning in two hours I saw 27 deer, small bucks and does , all within 5 to 15 yards, passed on them. We learned a long time ago that it's not about killing something, but about the hunting experience, this hunt is a great experience, we look forward to returning next year. We'd like to thank Kenny again. Kenny it was a pleasure, good luck this season, Ray and Aldo

Thank you Ray and Aldo!  Enjoyed every visit with you guys!!  Weather plays a huge part in a hunt you planned months before. These two guys stayed with it and had deer close, just not the one they wanted.

A few years ago bro and I went to NE to muley hunt, when we rolled into camp the truck showed 106 *

It stayed that way all week, 80 plus at night in the tent was kind of miserable but that was the week we chose months before. Still enjoyed it immensely thru the sweat!

There is an old saying that goes, "don't pass on the first day what you would shoot on the last". I hope I don't come to regret this, but I couldn't get
myself to shoot that deer only two hours into my hunt, not after driving for 22 hours. Then he came back and stood there broadside at 8 yards, tempting me more, and I let him go again. Kicker is, if I hunt there tomorrow night and he does that again, he's most likely going to get an arrow!! Bright spot, if I had killed that buck I wouldn't have seen the bigger one I saw this morning!
I'll post pics when I get better cell coverage.

The fellows from AR had a memorable hunt. 4 deer down, a first and a best.  Shake, rattle, and roll!!

Luke , David ,Darrel, and Noah had a good week!!

They will be along when they get home to post a bit and they have some excellent pics to go with...

They put in the footwork to see what the deer are doing. The stands I have up are in pretty good spots, but food sources and other things can change movement patterns.  They capitalize on that by scouting and hanging their stands. I can't scout and move 8 ladder stands with the changes but they are there to hunt when you want and be able to be in a stand first day!!

Rock on Razorbacks!! :)

Yes I think all of us Arkansas boys would agree that this was one of the best trips we have had at Kenny's if not the best.
We sure made a lot of memories.
Pics and stories soon to follow.

Yes, to me this was my favorite hunt.  Not just of our nine trips to Kenny's, but of a lifetime.  We all had a great time.  We laughed and had a lot of fun and yes almost cried.  HaHa.  Grandson Luke was on his second trip to Kenny's.  He is learning quick.  We killed 4 deer two doe and two bucks.

When I revisit this picture posting process today I will post some eye candy.
