🤩 Two Years of Waiting, Off to Alaska

It has been a long wait and a lot of planning and prep but the time is finally here. The trip to Alaska begins next Thursday. I have been to Alaska a couple times but have never hunted it. We will be going north of the arctic circle for caribou. A true wilderness experience. I am really looking forward to the "experience", and I do hope to see caribou to hunt. Getting one is a bonus. Still lots of unknowns as we don't know exactly where we will be dropped off for up to 14 days. It is basically a DIY hunt other than the air taxi. It's going to be a long few days until Thursday.

if your headed towards prudohoe bay check out the franklin bluffs on the sag river, thats where we got into alot of bou,s great place to glass from.
pray for sunny weather to bring the bugs out, that will force them to the gravel bars

You will love it!  I did the same trip out of Kotzebue a few years ago.  It was the hardest hunt physically I've ever done in my life, but it was also the most satisfying!  Good luck and take lots of pictures!

Good luck!  I just came back from my AK caribou hunt.  Weather was nice at the Arctic Circle.  Not much to hide behind.
