Well after about 8 months and thousands upon thousands of arrows she decided to throw in the towel. I would have liked to have seen more use out of the limbs but with no more than what the bow cost i guess i cant really complain too much. Lucky it just delaminated and didnt come completely apart at full draw

That ain't no good, glad it didn't get ya!

You've got a couple of good bowyers in Indiana that I know of that'll probably build you a new one.

I can't understand how that happened.   I'd think it could be fixed with some good glue and clamps.
What make of bow is it?

its a cheap junxing ilf recurve. It looks like one of the lams itself has split. Probably a defect in the wood or something from when they made the lams.

"Oh, crap!" generally means things aren't good, and I see your situation is true to form. I hope you have a good backup plan for hunting season. Good luck.

Is the folded back piece from the back of the bow? If so I would have thought the string and string tension would have help it in place. I still can't figure out how it happened.

under tension it all stays together. I didnt know it was bad until i took my string off. I had noticed it has been getting louder the last few times taking it out shooting

Good hunting to you all.
May the wind be your friend, and may your arrows fly true,
Most of all, may the appreciation and the gratitude of what we do keep us humble......
