I have had this wonderful Blacktail Takedown Longbow for a number of months. I have always wanted to make some quality wood arrows that would compliment its beauty. I finally tried. The shafts are Douglas Fir footed with Bocote wood. They turned out a bit heavier than I prefer but fly great. I hope to take a nice Whitetail buck with one of them this fall... I think they look pretty good. There are some craftsmanship issues but I do hope they don't ugly up this great bow...

Both the bow and the arrows are stunning. Awesome rig.

Those arrows would look good even with a little blood on em! Sweet bow also! Good luck this fall!

What woods in the bow? Bubinga and bocote or ?

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Amazing. Nice job on the footing. What a combo

Thanks for the kind words! The woods in the bow are Cocobolo and Bocote. The lighting doesn't show off the orange shade of the Cocobolo but it is deeply colorful. Thanks again. My problem making arrows is I always seem to rush something and have an element that is not so good.
