I'm waiting on my new horse bow and I have an arrow question.  The bow is 40lbs at 26" so where should I start for cedar arrow spine?  I'm thinking 31" 40-45 lbs spine allowing for shortening of the arrow to adjust spine stiffness. I'm going to have to buy arrows to start with, so I'd like to get close if possible so I don't have to buy 2 or 3 dozen to get it right. Thanks!!!

You might ask the bowyer for his(her) recommendations. Horse bows are a little different from other bows the way they shoot. Will you be shooting with a thumb ring and the arrow on the right side of the bow?
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!

No this bowyer makes his bows to be shot either way so I chose fingers on the left side (for right handed shooter).  I've had a Saluki before but it had an arrow rest cutout so not quite the same.  I'll check with the bowyer and get his opinion.  Thanks.
