That looks great Stic!  I guess you got Roy looking at that tip wedge.
Life is too short to use marginal bow wood

That's pretty slick mike with the wedges.

Question for the group, as victims.... would you care if your bow was 2.35 # over target weight?

And Mike, I think the tip wedges are gonna set that off.
Skeater who?

I'd be alright with 2.3# over.......but 2.35# is waaaay to much :jumper:

Dang it, I was afraid of that, I guess I am gonna have to rework it. And it was shooting lights out too, except for two shots but I'll take the whoopin for those.

Heck no!  Honestly getting a bow is a bonus, I'm getting so much enjoyment making one for someone I don't  know. Starting to think I must be weird :help:
Skeater, looks like you were focused on your shooting, until you got the dreaded pink wedgie :bigsmyl:

A little over or under is no problem.
All those awesome bows are starting to get the anticipation going.
My risers are ready now and I was digging through my wood stash for core lams. I have maple, walnut, cherry, hickory, Osage, bamboo flooring, and pacific yew. As well as padauk and purpleheart.
I also dug up a caul that I'll use to pre-bend the recurve tips. I hope it's warm this weekend. 🙂

2.35# isn't much of a % increase or decrease except for pinky guys...  That's 10% on a 23.5# bow, so you gotta take that into account... :biglaugh:
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I hope 2.35# is all I have to worry about.  That sounds pretty good though for a takedown glass bow. Congrats.

I'm with Lignaphile........ this is more fun than getting a bow. They're all works of art worthy to make any recipient a proud new owner. Plus heckling the old farts ain't bad either  :bigsmyl:

Yep it's fun messing wif ole Kenny....

I'm thinking 2# over top of your victim's range is ok. It would be for me. But hopefully your victim speaks up directly.
