I was able to get a few hours in at the bench today and almost got it bending.
Hopefully I will get it bending and on the caul next weekend.

I am envious of you fellas that have a bandsaw. Lots of shavings.....

Feeding wood into machinery isn't really what I would consider fun! I'm convinced the more hand work I do do on a Bow, even if it's only sanding, the better the final product will be.

You are right, the amount of hand work usually correlates to a better end product. I do enjoy the process but I also start to get excited about the potential of the bow once the ring is chased and the bow is staring back at me through my layout lines.

Thanks Kenny. My patience has grown by leaps and bounds over the last several years........My 7yr old twin girls have definitely helped me with that.[emoji51]

On the maple I put some purple Trans Tint in a gallon of denatured alkyhaul. Then pulled a vacuum on it 3-4 hours and let it soak overnite. It takes a long time to get the MC back down so do it way ahead of time.
