Thats a lot of grease in there! Looks strange, contaminated?
Now you got me curious about your mod!

Roy from Pa

Looks like it has water in it...

Here is Josh video..

No to both. Just a very weird "snotty" type grease. So as the motor shaft spins the 3 prongs ride up and down 3 different ramps. That grease has some magic to it since the plastic doesn't wear away. Looks like regular plastic.
My "fix" is a piece of aquatherm pipe that's nearly lab grade plastic. Hoping the grease doesn't break it down.

Thanks Roy. For some reason I can't load video. Daughter using laptop for school  :banghead:

If this works I'll get that last bit of oscillation out.

If it isn't me riding a unicorn holding a pink bow it's definitely the right video

Roy from Pa

Youtube blocked that video of your pink skirt:)

Flem

Looks like your still getting some oscillation?

goobersan

Just a bit. Wasn't sure how it would work out. After the next couple bows I'll take it apart, check for wear, and make the piece of pipe an 1/8" longer.
So far it's doing fine. Got the fades sanded down. Not much of an issue with that little bit of oscillation

Ok been doing jigs today. They are a pain but better than fitting the riser every time. This on has a petite little 13 in.riser. .004 limb taper and lots of reflex.

I made Roy a gizmo out of fancy curly wood of some kind that he graciously donated to my St Jude Gizmo project. I used iron nitrate stain to bring out the curl like I do on a flintlock.

It still needs a few more coats of Tru-oil.

Roy from Pa

Thanks Eric, that's sharp.

Was that from the piece of wood that had the round cut on the end?

I don't know what kind of wood it was.

Pat B

Eric, there were a lot of Gizmo's around the bow shop at the Classic. They all got a lot of use.
