Who makes the best short recurve?

There are several if not more very good shorter recurves available. Determining which is best for you would likely produce a more favorable result.

What is your definition of a short recurve?

I really like my Hoots Recurve.  56" and shoots better than I can.

I have a Fedora 52" Stalker recurve that shoots really well at my 27" draw.

Kempf makes a nice static tip. 56" with no stack!

I have a 56"er on my stock bow page.  It is designed after the 1959 56" Bear Kodiak.

Not sure what you consider short but my 58", Tuktu EX by Abe Penner at Cari-bow Archery shoots like a dream. This is a static recurve that I highly recommend. I also own a 60" TD version of this bow. Makes for a great combination.

There are a lot of good short recurves out there, I wouldn't say there is "A best" but you do have a lot of choices...here's our Shrew Lil' Favorite II in 54" and of coarse it's MY favorite
