I have been carrying one of these  CRKT Homefront Hunters for the last year and can confirm that it is legit. It has a high, hollow grind. The take down system works great and the washers are fixed in place so you can't lose any parts. It is light weight for a knife it's size. They price is very agreeable for what you get. It is made with hunting in mind.
My only complaints. The pocket clip has turned and gouged the handle when I took a spill. I glued it back in place and it is holding fast. It is made in Taiwan, I wish I could buy American on this but there are no competitive options.
I bought these for my Dad, my Brother, and even my mom. If anyone was looking for a more traditional option over the replaceable blade scalpels, that is still readily sterilzed and cleaned, this is it.

Thought CRKT were made in Oregon or somewhere in the Northwest and had a lifetime warrantee?

They are an American company, some of their knives may be made here. This one is made in Taiwan. It does have a lifetime warranty to the original owner.

The big knife brands have pretty good quality control at their asian factories, so there shouldnt be much difference from an American made knife.  BUT it is nicer to buy one thats made here.
