Hey guys so I took my wife shooting one morning at a 3D range out of town and she was hooked by the end of the day. I need help finding a one piece recurve for her it's been proving quite difficult. Here are some very key points to keep in mind

1.) I'm located in Toronto, Canada and the pickins are pretty slim here..
2.) She is left handed which has shown itself to be a bit tricky to find something.
3.) She is comfortable shooting 25-30 pounds
4.) She is looking to spend around 200 to 400 dollars CAD on something.

Do you guys have any other ideas besides the Samick sage because it seems that's where we are headed sadly!
Mother Nature is my religion. Tooth fang and claw.

Give a call to Maddog Archery.  Or just look them up on their web.  They will help ya out. Good luck.

If you become a contributing member, which carries a $35 a year fee.

That gives you access to the classified section here on tg.

There is a LH bows for sale section there.

And you could also start a thread asking for what she needs.  Here is the link to join.

Nothing wrong with the Samick Sage. I bought three for my granddaughters, great starter bows. I bought the take downs though.
Good luck!

I would choose a black hunter over a sage,  similar price point.
Toelke Pika t/d 54" 52#
Bear Polar 56" 40#
Black Hunter 60" 40#
Toelke Chinook 58" 54#

Check out the Archers Nook in London, Ontario. They have a good website and are a great company to deal with. Hoyt ILF Formula on sale, left hand & 28#.

I would strongly recommend an older Pearson, Wing, Shakespeare one piece recurve. RMSG is great, or haunt eBay. There are tons out there. My wife shoots a late '60s Pearson Javelina, and I just found a left hand Pearson Mustang for $70 at a antique shop last week.
We are all here because we are not all there.

Just saw a beautiful 35# super kodiack on LW in left hand.

We (3Rivers) carry a big selection of left handed bows in lighter weights. We can ship to Canada too. Another option, though a fair bit of a drive, is coming to the Traditional Bowhunter Expo in Kalamazoo, MI at the end of January. Lots of bows to try out there. We can bring some you want to try out (or deliver an order) too. Just let us know before the show.

One bow that would be a good one (sorry, it is over the price range, I did look at others but none in LH and 30# or less) is the Slick Stick recurve: https://www.3riversarchery.com/slick-stick-recurve-bow.html   If you are interested, PM me or email and I can do a bit more off for you.

Best of luck on the journey though. Very cool for both of you!
