Just curious to see what type of deer lures(Buck) do others use and have great success with.. Me personally here in Va, I use Buck Bomb the doe in estrus, I spray on my rubber boots as I'm walking to my stand. I have killed both buck and does by doing this. I also use Deer dander for a cover sent and have great luck by doing this also...Again just wanted to see what other folks like to use...thank you all.. :dunno:

Bob Kirschners lures I use the curiosity one it works well, have seen them hit the smell and turn on a dime to come investigate it so gave me a bit of confidence in his stuff. Mostly dont use them at all. Maybe imitation vanilla too, have watched it work as well.

We have had success using pre-orbital gland lure (Smokey's Deer Lure) on licking branch over scrapes and/or over mock scrapes. Gene Wensel has written several articles about it. You can google "Wicked Wicks". There are many photos on the Brothers of the Bow site. Mike

Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. I have done a lot of experimenting. Sometimes they will follow it right to you sometimes the same lure will spook them. A sure fire, hot, lure will work in one area and totally be ignored elsewhere. I hung them on fences and watched as deer entered an oat field to observe their reaction. It always amazed me when their nose passed within a couple of feet of the lure. >>>----> Ken

I've had success with Trails End 307, it's basically anise I think.  Urine based lures I've had minimal success with and tend to not use them anymore.  I think scent use is a lot like decoys, mixed results with consistent use that sometimes goes in your favor.
