For a 30-inch draw, I'd recommend a 70-inch bow.  If you're buying new, talk to Craig at Howard Hill.  He'll help you decide.  Regarding core laminations, I like the Big five (bamboo), Tembo (bamboo) and Cheetah (bamboo and juniper). Good luck.  They're a joy to shoot.

I second, calling Craig.

If you swap to a Hill style bow, and use a somewhat "Hill or Schulz" style form, you will likely find that your draw length may be up to 2 inches shorter.

The low wrist grip and bent bow arm kinda shorten your effective draw length.

That's all assuming you are shooting something with a high wrist grip and near locked bow arm now.

Yep I'm 6'4 and I pull 30" with a recurve. I'm right at 27 1/2 when shooting a hill bow. Remember a bent elbow is encouraged when shooting this style.

I agree with Mike above^^^^^A talk with Craig will get you on the right track.

As stated above, if you shoot the bow correctly, you will probably loose a couple inches in draw length. 68"-70" bow would be fine. If in doubt, Craig is a fine man to speak with!

Craig will do you right, for sure. I'm 6'5" and shoot a 68" Big Five. I draw it 28 1/2".

Welcome to the addiction I bought my first two years ago. I now have ten.

My draw went from 27.5 to 26. All good info above along with at least 10 gpi., arrows

I would call Dave Miller also, I have several Hill Style bows and the Old Tom model has been a favorite for the past 5 years.
if you get the string follow model you may can get away with a shorter bow for your draw, if it means anything to you.
i have shot 66" set back Hill Styles with my 26" draw and Mr. Miller pointed out i could go with 64" if i wanted to, i like the length.
