For you Glass bow T/D recurve builders, whats you thoughts or experience for adding thin veneers to your limb recipe to showcase the decorative wood?  i have a limited amount of striped american ebony and maybe thinking i should stretch it and go that route instead of thicker tapers?  I currently use 2 glass parallel and 2 -.002 tapers  for my limb . Using the veeners , i would then go to a 6 piece limb.....any thoughts   thanks

most of my recurves have 5 or 6 limb laminations.  Most of my veneers are between 0.019 and 0.022" thick.

More, thinner, lams makes it easier to lay up radical recurves.

Yeah, I do it all the time.  Generally, my veneers are .020"-.030".  Thicker than some guys use, but easier to handle when slathered with Smooth-On....

Thanks guys,  should i count on a heavier limb by adding the extra glue and veneers although I keep my butt end thickness the same?
