I have the HF 12" sander...  It has all the balls you need...  Solid sander but the table and it's connection is questionable...  If you saw in an earlier post I switched out the table for a granite one... Everything is Golden now...
My personal opinion is that they build most of these tools with less than tight tolerances for accuracy...  I mean how hard can it be to make a dead flat table sit at a solid 90*??    No matter what you get you may have to modify it to get accuracy...

I just read a couple of reviews on the Delta...   Not good...  HF actually has more stars...    For the price I would go with the HF and modify the table...  It is a solid sander...

   Good Luck...

The table part on that one was detouring me a bit but for the price its probably a easy fix I will go over and look at it , the sanding pads for it are fair priced to !

I don't have much use for one.  I have a small Ryobi combo 4X36 belt with 6" disk sander.  All I use the disc portion for is grinding scarf joints on lams and sharpening pencils.  This will actually be the next piece of equipment I upgrade when I can afford a 6X89 Jet

As far as the 12" HF disc sander, my dad has one that he uses the bejesus out of.  He's a gunsmith and uses it to rough shape recoil pads to fit the buttstock of a rifle or shotgun.  The one he had, a Pleistocene era Delta as I recall, finally crapped out.  He bought the HF as a temporary substitute, but ended up keeping it.

I have the 12 Harbor Freight and no complaints at all. It seems to be as good as any of the rest of my tools ,mainly Grizzlies.
God bless,Steve
