Busy packing for the move to Georgia......took a couple of hours off to go shoot with KAT and huntmaster70 on Sunday morning. Came home and got right back at it with the packing......it was hotter than a pepper sprout. Worked the rest of the day and crashed about 8 pm. Went out this morning to go to the post office and there it was..... my ILF Zipper with the Z-4 limbs.......still strung........ :banghead: and one of the limbs had a 90 degree bend in it. Just had to much stuff on my mind and forgot all about it. Lesson learned the hard way........so one les s set of limbs to pack for the trip south. :dunno:

I hate it when that happens and you can't even blame anybody else.... :knothead:

Dang! Sorry to hear that Ron. Hopefully you can get you another set of limbs once you are all settled.

Sorry for your loss. Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way? It must have been a real barn burner to bend a limb like that. I have been taking only one bow to the range lately because it so blasted hot. Usually I have them strung in their case but not for more than a few hours. After your experience I may modify my way of keeping them covered in the back of my Escape.

I have a bunch of limbs so I'm not completely beat on this.......bad part is I don't think the Z-4 limbs are available anymore. The rack is full......we'll suffer thru my stupidity........ :biglaugh:

Oh man that really stinks Ron. Just a case of too many things going on. We have all made those mistakes.

You should have took my advice to just stay here. :knothead: (WAY too much work to pack up & move) That does suck though, you were shooting that setup well!

There are a few things I will miss up here in New York..........but the move will be worth it down the road. Like in January and February ........ :dunno: :goldtooth:

IMO that was actually good fortune.  That limb was a failure waiting to happen--at least it didn't go when you were shooting.  Epoxy has to be cooked at temps way higher than it will ever get outdoors (unless you are camped near a volcano).

I took it that the bow was still in his car. :dunno:

My bad--I thought it was just left outside.
