How do I stop getting emails?

I comment on a post. Then, every time someone else comments on that post I get an email to let me know.  I see that I can reply to each post's email thread and shut them off one at a time, but is there an email opt out that covers all of them? I opened my email today and had 18 notifications that people had replied to the same topic I had...

On the bottom of your post there is the word "notify". Click on it and make sure you disabled being notified when someone posts to that topic.

Click on Profile at the top of the page.

Place mouse cursor on modify profile and a drop down menu appears.

Click on notifications.

Next page uncheck the top 2 boxes and on the bottom window choice, select nothing at all.

Then be sure to click on save settings in the lower right hand corner.
