Been wanting to try these , and tanned rabbit fur was too pricey . Last week TBM email tips had a piece on them . Zonkers! Something for fly tying which I've never done.

Off to the auction site and searched it, now have enough 1/8" wide rabbit fur leather to do 90 some arrows for about $10 delivered.

Will try them at dark to see how they show up. Last fall my arrow disappeared against deer hair background . Didn't like that at all!!

Pretty nice ole boy...

I've used them a bunch over the years and they help. I've got some chartreuse standing by for this falls arrows.

I'd suggest adding an additional turn around the shaft on yours to "bulk" them up a bit.

Scored a piece of private ground to work on this year buddy. I've increased my options considerably. Looking forward to September and won't get up there much before time. Bummer. :dunno:

I'd forgotten about those! Wanted to give it a try some years back before all the hoopla happened to me. Look forward to your report as I might finally give them a try this year.

I have used the white rabbit zonkers, they work really well in low light situations. Those arrows look really nice.

Lonnie , you might look for squatch  zonkers....  :biglaugh:

Jim, you can't beat wild turkey fletch in my opinion. But, they are harder to see than yellow. So I dyed some of em orange with koolaid  last fall. They were beautiful,  til I shot my first buck with one. When the arrow had deer hair as a background, it flat disappeared.

So I went back to yellow fletch.  These will work I'm thinkin!!
