Later next week I will start stocking BearPaw clear and Stabilcore. Will be sold custom cut by the inch to save throwing any away .

Prices to follow when shipping is determined.

Thanks !  :notworthy:

How will the Bearpaw be priced as compared to the Gordon's product?

kennym

It will be less, won't know final pricing til I see shipping costs. Should know about Tuesday.

A side note , I have read you need to add about 5 lb to stack compared to Gordon's. I will glue up a bow with it when it arrives to test .

Will you be selling it by the roll as well?
Skeater who?

I hadn't considered that yet, but I could I suppose.  There is 328' in a roll ......

I had been thinking about buying a full roll myself, .040 clear.  I seldom use anything but clear and was thinking about buying in bulk to save money.

Kenny, I trust your opinion highly.  Do you think the Bearpaw is on par with Gordon's in terms of quality overall, but specifically in terms of durability, consistency, and clarity?

C. Johnson

Also, what do you think about Stabil core vs uni-weft?  I've been using Uniweft and I think it's a great product, but a lot of guys swear by stabil core.

kennym

Craig, I've never used or even had a piece of either to look over. I have had quite a few calls about both from folks wanting both. Pics of bows I've seen with the new clear have looked great.

Monterey's bow with the cracks is the first one I've heard of that happening on and I asked the distributor if he had heard of any , he said no.

Sorry no hard facts yet on your question.

OK, fair enough.  When you get some in stock, I'll place an order and try it out.  I don't mind guinea pig duty.  :biglaugh:

Been using the clear for awhile now. Dont know if I noticed quite a 5 lb. difference maybe 2 or 3. It is very clear.   I have two bows with stable core. One longbow and one recurve. Noticed a lot of difference in the curve. A good person to ask about weight differences would be Bob at Sarrels archery.

I am sure it does not hurt longbows but not as noticeable.
High on Archery.

I figured the stabilcore would help a bow with radical hooks more than a gentler curve on a longbow.

Bob posted on a thread on FB that he was on roll 5  of clear Bearpaw and wouldn't use anything else.

:biglaugh:  Appropriate for many reasons.  Not the least of which is that I frequently wear a hat very similar to this one.
