I have about 12 of these. They fly well and with a file and a piece of rubbber I can get them sharp. How much bow do you needs to get these though critters? I have a 55 pound Montana with the factory string on it slining POC at 29 inches with a 27 inch dl

I use them with 42#, 500 grain arrow tho.

When my sons were young they shot 2 blade Zwickeys thinking with the light bow they would get more penetration . We lost some deer from the narrow 2 blade not giving them a blood trail  . I switched them to the 125 Snuffers and had complete recovery from the Snuffers . We had great blood trails even on some marginal hits . They shot 40 to 45# recurves and had about the same penetration as with the 2 blade .

You have more than enough bow, but do yourself and your bow a favor and get a decent bowstring.  Factory Bear strings are simply awful.  Snuffers are a personal favorite.   

It is shocking what a good string can do to the shooting characteristics of a bow.

It depends upon what you are shooting with them, but with the 160's I like at least 60# at my draw length, however I'm shooting 67#. That won't sit well with the light draw crowd, but you are throwing a lot of blade area and a 60#+ bow will get you the penetration that you need with the 160gr Snuffer. That being said I have a 55# that I used 140gr Snuffers with and it does very well on the game that I have shot with it. I won't use less than a 140gr and prefer the 160's. I read a thread once with Ryan Rothhaar posting that all Snuffers started out as 160's and were ground to weight, and that he felt as I do that too much metal was removed to reach 125 and 110gr and thus compromised strength and reliability. Bottom line is with a higher weight, large diameter 3 blade, more horsepower is better than less every time
